Why Play Based Therapy for Children?

Children often have difficulty putting their feelings into words, but through play, they can communicate and make sense of their experiences. Whether it's drawing, building, or using toys in role-playing, play therapy allows kids to explore their emotions and develop new coping skills in a way that feels natural and fun to them.

This approach is especially helpful for young children. Play therapy helps build self-esteem, improve social skills, and resolve behavioral issues by allowing kids to act out scenarios and gain insight into their thoughts and feelings. It’s a powerful tool that empowers children to gain confidence, work through their struggles, and grow emotionally in a way that fits their developmental stage.

I play with my child, How is this different?

Playing with your child at home is a wonderful and important way to bond, but play therapy offers a structured, therapeutic approach. While home play focuses on connection and fun, therapists use play as a tool to help children express emotions, build coping skills, and address challenges.

I use intentional techniques to guide and observe your child, fostering emotional growth and healing in ways that everyday play may differ. This process enhances the love and support you provide by offering professional guidance for deeper social and emotional development
