FAQ's
What is Sliding Scale?
A sliding scale is a reduced session fee based on household income and financial need. I reserve a limited number of spots for sliding scale clients and can offer them when available. If my full fee is not affordable to you, please don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more about this option.
Do You Accept Insurance?
Yes, I am currently in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem Blue Cross for select therapy services. Insurance coverage depends on factors such as the type of service, child’s age, location, and clinical concerns. Because I offer specialized early childhood services, insurance does not cover all services that may be recommended or desired. Please reach out to Priscilla to explore your options and find the best fit for your family.
Can I Use My Out of Network (OON) Benefits?
Yes, I can provide you with a Superbill (a detailed invoice, learn more here) to submit to your insurance. I cannot guarantee reimbursement and I do not work directly with your insurance carrier myself when providing Superbills.
Please note: Using OON benefits means you will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
I recommend you contact your insurance directly to confirm your out of network (OON) benefits and reimbursement for therapy.
I also partner with Thrizer, a platform that helps clients get money back on OON therapy services. Thrizer is a platform with a goal to help clients save time and money when using out of network (OON) benefits. Thrizer will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. Learn more about Thrizer here.
What Payment Types Do You Accept??
I accept cash, credit card, HSA/FSA cards as forms of payment due at the time of appointment.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
